In this episode of The Data Standard, the host Darren Kaplan and his guest Marina Vafaei talk about food delivery data and data fraud.
Marina is an expert in eCommerce, legal compliance, and risk management. In this episode, Marina shares her thoughts about possible fraud in the food delivery business. She goes ahead and explains how fraudsters work step by step.
They usually start the fraud by creating hundreds of profiles simultaneously and then using one of these accounts to order consumer goods. The biggest risk is at the entry-level and is the hardest to monitor. Most of the frauds are possible because certain people fail to update the correct data, which leads to mismatches and disables order tracking.
Then Marina goes on about how she works and how she exchanges information on meetings. Finally, she talks about her role in Bluebist and what companies have to do to improve security and detect fraud.
