In this episode of The Data Standard, Catherine Tao and Andrew Karcher talk about collaboration in the data tech space. Andrew starts the podcast with a short overview of his career. His passion for data was born over 12 years ago, and Andrew has been working on building a community tech space ever since.
Andrew goes on about the importance of collaboration with other scientists, which led him to the idea of creating this community in the first place. Over the course of years, Andrew realized that working in a data scientist team offers better results. There are multiple tasks data analytics have to get right.
First, the extracted and analyzed data has to be correct. Second, how to use the available data to drive value and improve services? There are all kinds of technologies available, but knowing which one to use and when is the key. Andrew explains that every problem has hundreds of available solutions and how its easier to find the best solution when data scientists work together.
