Matt Yates is a tenured Senior Data Scientist currently working for AF Group - a workers compensation company out of Michigan.  He's spent all of his career in the insurance industry as a programmer and a data scientist.  He's a Kaggle expert, contributor on GitHub and StackOverflow, and data science blogger.  In addition to writing and sharing content on his own blog HowLongIsTheData.com, Matthew is a writer for Medium publications such as TowardsDataScience as well as TheStartUp.  Altogether, he's been studying math, statistics, and programming for nearly 20 years and he's considered an expert practitioner in cloud services, distributed processing frameworks, and machine learning.  Matt is also passionate about web development, entrepreneurship, and being a lifelong learner.
